World famous trends forecaster, curator and publisher Li Edelkoort is back for her Annual Trends Seminar. Li travels to South Africa yearly for one of the much anticipated design events of the year ,Design Indaba, to share with artists, design enthusiasts, trend setters and creatives her forecast for the year ahead.

Taking place both in eccentrically urban Johannesburg, at the LISOF: Fashion Design School & Retail Education Institute as well as the cultural melange city of Cape Town, at the Artscape Theatre Centre. This year Li discusses cultural appropriation in fashion and how to cure "Colourphobia" in our interiors.

We have slowly started to see colour being introduced into spaces through brightly coloured furniture pieces, household products and wall colour. As much as these may catch our attention, adding colour to your space can still be slightly scary. Li predicts that the excitement around colour has only just begun. With exciting new ways to add colour to your space, Li believes it may have a more positive impact our daily lives. “The innate fear in people for using colour is gradually giving in to the joy of manipulating it to transform materials and give life to otherwise forgotten spaces and products. A splash of yellow can wake up a room, a shadow of grey can design a space, a touch of pink can make people smile,” Expresses Li Edelkoort. We think she might just be on to something. So are you as curious to know how you can make your interior more colourful? Well then you don't want to miss it.
