Rialheim launches new flagship store at Rand Steam Shopping Centre (PRESS RELEASE)

A new era of #DreamBelieveFly as the company diversifies product range and introduces an immersive retail experience complete with café.

Local ceramic studio, Rialheim, has launched a new retail store in the heritage precinct of Rand Steam in Richmond, Johannesburg.

The space was designed by renowned interior designer, Megan Ralph, in collaboration with the creative team at Rialheim. The store features bespoke Rialheim wall tiles as well as light pendants and has served as the launch venue for a new table lamp collection offering consumers and interior designers new products to choose from that are fun, functional and inspired by the beauty of Africa. Sustainability played a big role in the project with wood from the previous store in Linden being up cycled by local artisans, Melkweg Design, and bespoke steel fixtures and furnishings produced by Out The Box Welding & Design.

“As the company diversifies and enters a new era, we wanted to celebrate local artisans, collaboration and design a new retail experience that not only encourages consumers and trade clients to experience the brand like never before but also to feel immediately at home by offering a casual café, Boho Café & Co., inviting visitors to lounge a little longer and engage with our team,” says Rial Visagie, Creative Director of Rialheim.

Lights, lamps and bespoke wall tiles

Rialheim has diversified its product offering to include handcrafted wall tiles, bespoke light pendants and a collection of table lamps with the Rand Steam store debuting these designer ceramics allowing consumers and interior designers to view these pieces in person. The wall tiles offer a three-dimensional and textured alternative to wall paper allowing features walls to truly stand out with handcrafted and locally produced ceramics made from African clay.

Introducing Boho Café & Co.

Boho Café & Co is a freshly curated space where ceramics and cappuccinos seamlessly mingle. Grab and go or lounge and linger with kindred coffee, organic offerings and pastry soul mates for free spirited, adventurous wanderers at Boho Café and Co situated in the Randsteam heritage precinct.
