Rialheim + Boho Cafe

Rialheim launches a new flagship store at Rand Steam shopping Center #DreamBelieveFly

A fast-growing trend in Retail is creating an experience for shoppers. Gone are the days of picking out an item, paying for it and leaving. Stores, in particular home décor retail stores, are making it all about a full on customer experience. Rialheim Ceramic Studio launched their flagship store last week Thursday alongside the Boho Café, and to say the event delivered a spectacular customer experience would be an understatement.

Located in the heritage precinct of Rand Steam Richmond in Johannesburg, the store’s façade gives bypassers a glimpse of the store’s magic with a black framed aluminum grid curtain wall resembling factory warehouse windows. The space, perfectly designed by Megan Ralph in collaboration with the Rialhem team, kept some areas of the interior bare and as close to its natural form with exposed brick wall, concrete balcades, and exposed ceiling soffits and services; while at the very same time, adorning the walls with creatively crafted bespoke Rialheim tiles and low hanging detailed pendants.

The store has been beautifully curated to display all the unique and quirky, yet functional pieces created by Rialheim. Design lovers gushed over the intriguing works while discussing the inspiration behind the carefully manufactured pieces. Delicious treats floated around the room from the Boho Café, which occupies the other half of the store server in only the finest choice of Rialheim crockery. Kept very intimate, guests were able to closely interact with the pieces, appreciate their finer details, and get to engage with the creative behind the brand.

This store is truly the definition of a full customer experience, making each and every purchase part of an everlasting memory! A chance to shop and chat over a cup of coffee and light meal on the stores deck while enjoying the warmer season we have begun to usher in.

You can thank us later.
